Please Sign this peition to stop the new changes to the "dangerous dog act", they are now trying to say if your beautiful dog jumps up at your guest to greet them and to say hello on your property and your guest report that to the police, you can get up to 5years in prision!! They are also trying to tell dog owners to get a dog whisperer into your home to fix your dogs behavior at your own door to stop them from getting excited and "jumping up". What next, cats that miaow ? Please can you correct the "ASBO for DOGS" law tht you crated October 2014.
Although I can understand the reasoning behind it, this has nothing to do with the common pet dog. This should have been made clear tht it was meant for the !pit Bull2 type dog and not the little puppy size chihuahua. As it is, this law as it stands is NOT being policed by EITHER the Police force or Councils in the UK. They for one do NOT have the funding, or even the manpower. So if you want this law to do what its supposed to stop, the CORRECT the wording then if a "pit Bull type" dog gets out of control then the legislation is there for punishmebnt of the owner who is ultimately responsible.
