Our United States National Parks Service was created to allow Americans the chance to appreciate, enjoy, and protect the natural beauty of our country. The beach volleyball community agrees wholeheartedly with these endeavors and implores the San Francisco NPS to allow the establishment of permanent net posts on Ocean Beach near the intersection of Great Highway and Balboa to facilitate such efforts. The local beach volleyball community is comprised of thousands of tax payers who are looking for a healthy, active way to enjoy the Ocean Beach National Park that their tax dollars support. The culture of beach volleyball is one of conservation, inclusion, and health and believes in the motto "Always leave the beach in better shape than you found it". We are simply asking for the permission to erect posts (at no cost to the NPS). Nets will always be removed at the end of play. It is common to have such courts on NPS land, including the Lincoln Memorial Sand Volleyball Courts in Washington DC.
