Saint John needs Tim Roszell and the Sea Dogs on the Radio!

The Saint John Sea Dogs have terminated Tim Roszell without cause, who has been the play-by-play announcer since the 06-07 season. Tim Roszell is not only the play-by-play announcer but also the Manager of Media and Communications.

They also plan to cancel radio broadcasting of games possibly in favour of home game only webcasts.

This is apparently being done as a cost-cutting measure but we believe that Tim is part of the Sea Dogs family and success and fans know him as the voice of the Saint John Sea Dogs. His skill in play-by-play and his depth of knowledge is unmatched by any other announcer in the league. His passion and love for the Sea Dogs and the sport shine through his work.

The radio broadcasts are very important to all fans especially fans who are shut-ins or who otherwise cannot attend games. There are. many fans who listen to the broadcasts, even home games, before, during and after the game. Tim's radio broadcast is the only way for fans to easily participate in away games. The radio broadcast is important because it is accessible for all fans and not just those with access to the internet. The radio broadcasts also support other local businesses like NewSong FM.

We call on the Saint John Sea Dogs to re-instate Tim Roszell in his full former position and to keep the Saint John Sea Dogs games on public radio.

We courage everyone to sign the petition AND to call or email Trevor Georgie, President & General Manager to voice your dissatisfaction!

As no surprise, another team has scooped up Tim when they had the chance. Tim will be the new play by play announcer for the Moncton Wildcats. We're very happy for Tim that he gets to keep doing what he loves, and we still have the chance to hear him call all the games against the Wildcats.

The Sea Dogs have announced that they are going to have a different announcer for each arena in the Maritimes only, online steaming only.

Let them know you still want to hear all away games on the radio.

We are really close to our goal. We need only about 150 more people to sign up.

The sea dogs have posted a survey for season ticket holders. There is a spot at the end for comments. If your a season ticket holder or not. Go fill out the survey and let them know that you’re unhappy with the changes to broadcast of games!

We’re really close to our goal of 1000 people!

Sea Dogs broadcasts and Tim Roszell are so important to all fans and future fans.

We just need a small push to the goal. If you can just 1 person to sign up it would push us past our goal!

We love the Sea Dogs and we want to see and hear them! You can help us with this goal!
