Make Animal Cruelty A Federal Felony!

  • recipient: U.S. Congress
The Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture (PACT) Act was recently re-introduced to Congress to protect the helpless animals against malicious crimes and stricter punishments for those who hurt them.

This bill that will make animal cruelty a federal felony. PACT Act will help to fight the loopholes which existed for years now. The current federal law does not cover the underlying acts of animal abuse, which can occur beyond the reach of state cruelty laws. The PACT Act closes that gap by expanding the federal jurisdiction to these specific, particularly henious crimes!

If this bill passes, this PACT Act will help in prosecuting criminals if the cruelty occurs on federal property. It is stated that under the PACT Act, a person can be prosecuted for torturing, crushing, burning, drowning, suffocating, and impaling animals and sexually exploiting them.

Demand Congress to pass the new PACT act and help to protect the communities from many forms of violence. Sign this petition and join me in fighting against the horrible animal abuse!

Great news! The PACT Act passed unanimously in the Senate. Now it’s on Trump’s desk and we need to make sure he signs it right away before more animals die! Please share the petition to keep the pressure up!

Exciting news!! We've scored a major victory to protect animals in the U.S. from cruel abusers. Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives voted *unanimously* to pass the PACT Act.
Now, in order for this legislation to become law, it will need to go before the Senate. We need to make sure our Senators hear us loud & clear so that they pass this bill. Share the petition with your friends and tell them to sign!
