Someone Stabbed a Baby Elephant Seal. Demand Justice!

  • by: Care2 Team

The recent brutal attack on a baby elephant seal in Neskowin, Oregon, is nothing short of horrifying. This helpless pup was stabbed multiple times, leaving it injured and vulnerable. Thankfully, the seal survived, but this cruel act has raised serious concerns about the safety of marine wildlife along our coasts.

Sign this petition to demand that authorities use all available resources to find the person responsible for this horrific crime and prevent future harm to innocent seals!

Despite the severe injuries to its back and side, the seal pup made a remarkable recovery after being treated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Marine Stranding Team. But it is vital that we ensure no other marine mammals suffer in such a way again.

Additionally, this senseless act violates the Marine Mammal Protection Act, which makes it illegal to harm or harass marine mammals, including elephant seals. Those responsible for such crimes must be held accountable to prevent this tragedy from happening again.

Let's stand together to demand the Oregon authorities and NOAA Law Enforcement do everything in their power to find the person responsible and protect these vulnerable creatures.

Sign this petition and urge authorities to take immediate action!
