Adding Pickleball Courts to the Bergess-Rushing Tennis Center

Please help us by signing this call for action and by sharing this with other Pickleball players and those that want to start and enjoy the sport we love, Pickleball.
As the fastest growing sport in the United States Pickleball continues to create momentum from local residents and visitors, Pickleball courts have become so scarce to meet the demands among its enthusiasts. As of this date, Pickleball players have use the Davis Park where there are four temporary Pickleball courts. These courts are badly cracked and poorly maintained.
The Burgess-Rushing Tennis Center has 4 temporary Pickleball courts. However, they are not together making it hard for our Pickleball Community to play round. The Tennis Center is in favor of resurfacing and lining courts for Pickleball.
We are in favor of creating courts at the Tennis Center for Pickleball. We want to stress out that public parks should be shared and must be enjoyed by local taxpayers, whether tennis players, Pickleball players or any member of the Lubbock community.

The undersigned petitioners ask that the City of Lubbock resurface and line courts at the Burgess-Rushing Tennis Center for the members of Lubbock Plays Pickleball.
