The witnesses report that they gasped at the stench, and the horrifying sight of this poor dog's rotted eyeball oozing down his injured, gaping jaw, his decomposing body tolerated by other doomed dogs confined in the same cage, helpless victims who begged with their desperate eyes, and with hope beyond hope, a weary wag of a tail. The dog, "Little No Name" I call him, has no one to remember his struggle, or most likely elongated painful death. The other dogs and cats who lanquish there, until the shot of death takes them, perhaps mercifully from their lives of nothing but a kick or a swat from the human race, have no one to turn to. If not me, or you - WHO? Write, call and demand justice, ask for the name or recorded number, and orign of this victim of ineffective animal shelter staff and managers. Tell them we WILL remember "Little No Name", and want to know under what circumstances was he was brought there and why he was denied medical attention, and left to rot in the place to where he fell in death. "Little No Name"has lost his struggle for life, never to experience a touch of human kindness in this world.

We the undersigned ask that the Prichard Ciity Attorney and officials to ensure a thorough investigation of Prichard Animal Shelter and its staff. If evidence of animal cruelty is found, we urge you to charge all parties involved and prosecute them under Alabama state's anti-cruelty laws.
If no thorough investigation by Prichard law enforcement is evidenced, and no findings are disclosed to the public, we urge Mobile District Attorney to conduct their own investigation to determine if animal cruelty was committed at Prichard Animal Shelter, and if warranted, charge those persons responsibile.
Those entrusted to protect companion animals must be held accountable for crimes of abuse and neglect. We hope you will take swift punitive action against anyone who ignored or contributed to this innocent creature's suffering and death, as well their disregard for the care of other impounded dogs who were caged in same kennel with his decaying remains.
