Respect Our NO Vote and Demand NMB Impartiality

Delta flight attendants are being held hostage by a union that never represented over 65% of us. Our combined work force voted, and we clearly voted for NO REPRESENTATION in spite of a new voting system changed in favor of unions. AFA then called interference (as they could do again and again) so we remain in laboratory conditions, without any pay or benefit improvements, and could remain in laboratory conditions through an endless cycle of re-votes and inference claims.

Our representational fate lies with the NMB, which is clearly stacked with union affiliates. How can we expect impartiality from appointees with strong union backgrounds? We can't.

Please join us in petitioning the NMB to restore our NO vote, remove us from laboratory conditions, and have NMB members with union affiliations recuse themselves from our case. Please read the petition on the following tab and then fill out the form. Thank you.

The NMB held a Representational Election for the Flight Attendants of Delta Air Lines that concluded on November 3, 2010. The election was to determine whether the Association of Flight Attendants would represent the merged flight attendant groups of Delta and Northwest Airlines, or whether there would be no union representation.

The result of the election and two previous AFA elections was for NO UNION REPRESENTATION. Even with the new voting rules change, the result has been the same for three attempts at union organization on the Delta Airlines property.  We have been stuck in laboratory conditions since the AFA filed for election and their loss thereof.  Laboratory conditions have continued through subsequent interference charges.

 We, the undersigned, all Delta Flight attendants, implore you as our elected officials and NMB appointees to ensure us a FAIR, UNBAISED and IMPARTIAL resolution of this stalled election. We demand the following:

1.     to have our NO UNION REPRESENTATION vote stand;

2.     to be released from the laboratory conditions under which we now live and work, so that all the flight attendant employees may enjoy the benefits for which we voted, i.e., NO UNION REPRESENATION;

3.     that the appointees to the National Mediation Board that have prior and/or ongoing union affiliations immediately recuse themselves from this case before them, as they cannot possibly be considered impartial.

Sincerely,
The Flight Attendants at Delta Air Lines
