Stray dogs are being massacred in Mayotte as they are seen a pests and a nuisance. Each year many dogs are abandoned by their owners. Behind every stray dog there is a person who should be severely punished for animal abuse and the terrible sufferings which is caused to the dogs. Dogs are being beaten up then hung to die on electricity poles by the roadside. Animal organisations do their best to alleviate the stray dogs population but their efforts are not enough therefore we demand that the government takes the required action to protect these loyal animals and prosecute the people who are responsible for these crimes.
