Reinstate the All 4 Paws Rescue Partnership Program at Horry County Animal Control Center!

All 4 Paws Rescue Program was released from Horry County Animal Control Center located in Conway, SC based on a complaint from an individual running another 501c3 animal rescue because their rescue was denied to be a part of the program because they did not meet the specific guidelines in the application for the program however, the rescue is still able to rescue directly from the shelter on their own. They are not denied that right.

Since the All 4 Paws Rescue Partnership Program has been active with Horry County Animal Control Center the percentage of animals lives saved has increased from 12% to 80%, more dogs and cats have been rescued and placed in forever homes on the program. The program is FREE to the county! The program carefully screens the rescues and provides safe homes for the animals. As a rescue on the program they are given certain benefits to help with the rescue such as food, vet assistance and more.

The rescues on the program are carefully screened and have to meet the guidelines for which they fill out the application for the program through All 4 Paws Rescue Partnership. The program has the right to deny any application if it does not meet the specific guidelines for the program, this is to protect the animals and the program. The decision of acceptance or denial of any application is that of the program not the shelter(s).

Through this partnership with the shelter it helps regulate rescues and keeps the animals out of the hands of puppy flippers, dog ring fighters and bait dog owners, and animal abusers and hoarders. It helps keep the population of dogs and cats down as the program spays and neuters and for any reason the adoption does not work out the animal is returned to the rescue not a shelter.
