Stop Murdering Snow Leopards!

Snow leopards are under threat, and some populations could soon disappear forever, unless you do something.

Add your name if you want to protect all snow leopards from trophy hunters, NOW!

The snow leopard "population continues to decline and it still faces a high risk of extinction through habitat loss and degradation, declines in prey, competition with livestock, persecution, and poaching for illegal wildlife trade," the IUCN reported," according to Mongabay.

The worst part is, the status of the species was recently shifted from "endangered" to "vulnerable".

"Some experts argue that moving the species from Endangered to Vulnerable was not even justifiable based on the available evidence," according to the same source.

Like anything involving wild animals, there is a lot of conjecture.

"No one is really sure exactly how many snow leopards there are in the wild. In large part, that's due to how difficult they are to study.

"The big cat's range encompasses more than 1.6 million square kilometers (or more than 600,000 square miles) across 12 Central and South Asian countries, and its habitat includes some of the highest and coldest mountain ranges in the world, which are inaccessible at worst and inhospitable at best to human researchers," said the same source.

In other words, some regional populations could perish because of poaching or other issues, and we wouldn't even know.

But according to the World Wildlife Fun, there are could be as few as 4,080 of these precious big cats alive in the wild.

We must do everything we can to protect them, before it's to late.

And it's going to take BIG, international efforts for this to work.

That's why we're calling on the Asian Parliamentary Assembly to work together and do whatever it takes to ban trophy hunting of snow leopards across their entire range.

Don't you want to stop this cruel, heartless practice of murdering rare animals for fun?

Then add your name to join in the effort to save snow leopards while we still can!
