HALT the 3.2 acre Sewer/Water Vault

The PROBLEM. McKinley neighborhood 's flooding is due to an Antiquated Combined Water/Sewer system. This causes occasional flooding in an small area near McKinley Park. Flooding is due to heavy rain storms and failure of city pumps to move adequate volume of the drain waters. The pumps failed due to poor maintenance by the Department of Utilities.

Do we want to pay about $400 million over the next 10 years for water/sewer vaults?

NO!!! This is only a bandaid approach.

The SOLUTION Split the water sewer systems.
Make Sacramento a world class city.
