Stop China from Using Live Animals for Fur Coats!

Since the 11 century in Europe, animal fur coats were worn by humans for warmth. As fur coats were more casualized and the popularity of fur items rose by the 1950's, China built more fur producing factories. Until now, China has been using live animals- such as rabbits, minks, and geese-for fur coats.
The process of obtaining animal fur is brutal; fur farmers care about preserving the quality of the farm, so they use slaughter methods that keep the animal's pelts intact. This process results in extreme suffering for the animals. In fact, mink farmers keep female minks in small cages for breeding-which causes stress, fear, countless disease, and parasites to the animals. Although the National People's Congress introduced a proposal about the animal-protection law in China, the law did not pass.
Thousands of animals are killed today for fur. And there are many ways to make animal fur coats such as using faux fur. Although it might not be the "richest" or "fullest" fur as the China factories claim, it still provides warmth! There is no difference in purpose or quality between these two products...So why not stop this massacre from happening?! Please join our journey in calling all fur industry to become transparent and switch to the more ethical alternative: Faux fur. Thanks in advance for your support!
