Stop the Slaughter of Homeless Animals in Russia before 2018 World Football Cup!

Hundreds of thousands of cats and dogs will be slaughtered in the streets of Russian cities hosting FIFA (World Football) 2018 Cup this summer. This is against Russian laws and definitely against the very concept of humane treatment of animals. Demand President Putin to stop this blood bath now! The funding allocated to dog catchers should be invested in local animal shelters and Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return programs. Please speak for those who can't defend themselves!

If this situation is as sickening to you as it is to me, contact FIFA directly via their website:http://www.fifa.com/faq.html Scroll to #11 Other Click on 'Unable to find what you're looking for?' and fill out the Contact Form. Ask FIFA how they feel about this atrocity. Don't be shy. You don't answer to them. They answer to you. Spend 5 minutes of your time to let them know we're watching in disdain.

P.S. Guys, unfortunately, quite a few people choose to sign anonymously, and anonymous signatures are never taken seriously. When you sign, only your first name and the first initial of your last name are displayed, e.g., Helen Y. I believe that's anonymous enough. Please think carefully before choosing the "Do not display my name" option. Thank you very much for your support and care for animals!

Это является прямым нарушением ряда положений российского законодательства и, безусловно, противоречит принципу гуманного отношения к животным. Потребуйте от Президента России Владимира Путина недопущения этой кровавой бойни. Деньги, выделяемые на отлов и убийство животных должны быть направлены в местные приюты и на реализацию программы ОСВВ - отлов, стерелизация, вакцинация, выпуск. Скажите своё слово в защиту беззащитных живых существ! P.S. К сожалению, больше всего анонимных подписей именно из России, а к анонимным подписям отношение, как правило, несерьёзное. На самом деле, когда вы подписываете, отображается только ваше имя и первая буква фамилии, например, Елена Ю. На мой взгляд, это достаточно анонимно. Просьба очень серьёзно подумать, прежде чем выбирать опцию "Не показывать моё имя." Спасибо.

Dear Friend! Thank you SO MUCH for speaking out for the poor homeless animals in Russia!!! I really wish I could give you a huge big hug in person (will you take a rain-check?:)) I do believe in this cause, and I do believe it's winnable against all the odds. Over the past weeks, we have received letters and emails similar to yours calling our attention to animal rights issues in Russia. We share your concerns and your compassion for the animals. We are in contact with our respective counterparts in Russia to raise awareness about this issue.

However, due to our other numerous ongoing and planned activities in connection with FIFA’s competitions, we are not able to support your cause more actively.

My dear friends! Thank you so much for caring for the homeless dogs and cats of Russia! The geography is amazing. So many people from so many countries have spoken for these helpless creatures. Every signature means A LOT to me and to those I am trying to protect! Please try to increase your impact. Spread the word. Tell a friend, a family member, a neighbor, a co-worker.
