101 Dogs Were Rescued From a Brutal Puppy Mill in Raleigh

When authorities were contacted about unsanitary living conditions at a property in Raleigh, North Carolina, they probably didn't expect the tragedy they'd find inside.

The property was being used as a horrific puppy mill, and the conditions were atrocious. The dogs recovered here were filthy, without toys or blankets in crates. Many animals found were covered in their own feces.

Video footage appears to show that their fur was painfully matted, and that they were crammed into crates without room to do much besides suffer.

Luckily, of the 101 dogs recovered, all have been placed with heroic rescues where they will get the care they desperately need. Now, it's time to ensure that no animal will ever endure this treatment again. Sign the petition now if you agree!

The woman responsible for running the mill has been charged with six misdemeanors. But none of these misdemeanors will protect other animals from the same kind of treatment in the future. This woman should never be allowed to own animals again, and must commit to counseling to address what led to this abuse.

Puppy mills are notoriously cruel operations that always put profit before an animal's wellbeing. Mother dogs are painfully overbred; puppies receive little to no veterinary care; dogs are kept in overcrowded, unsanitary conditions until they are sold off to make room for the next stock. It is a nightmare, and the fact that this woman was willing to put these animals through this means real action needs to be taken to stop her from ever doing it again!

It is time for authorities to protect other animals from this kind of fate -- keep them out of the hands of this abuser for good! Sign the petition to demand a lifetime ban on animal ownership and mandatory counseling for this woman!
