Demand for the end of permit parking near schools

Permit parking was recently placed across the street from Dore elementary school (7134 w 65th st) This is Putting almost 700 children’s safety at risk daily. This is a hardship for parents dropping off and picking up their children. They now only have 1 block that’s in close proximity to the school for these times.
There was information passed on that the last block available for parking drop off and pick up has also applied for permit parking.
We are asking that the permit parking along the 7100blk west 64th Place & the 6400blk s Old Harlem road, Chicago 60638, be re-evaluated for the safety of our children. Also, come up with a parking plan to better serve the school and community.
