Set the Pavilion Gardens Free for the People of Falmouth

The Princess Pavilion and it's gardens have remained locked away from the people of Falmouth since the start of the Corona Virus pandemic. Open spaces and gardens have never been more valuable to us for our physical and mental health.
To deny public spaces to us during lockdown and still is a travesty that must be put right and put right right now! We have the time now to fix this social crime before we enter the winter flu season and the potential of further lockdowns.
Please sign this petition demanding that Cornwall Council and GLL the site operators free our Pavilions!

Good News All!
I’ve met with a Falmouth and Cornwall Councillor at the Princess Pavilion and can confirm that Falmouth Town Council Gardner’s have taken over from Cormac and have access to the site. They have been busy cutting the grass and getting everything ship shape.
Hopefully the next people allowed in will be us!
Also I will be placing Hard copies of the petition on clipboards around Falmouth with little St. Piran flags next to them, locations TBC.

Today I emailed our Falmouth & Truro MP Cherilyn Mackrory about Setting Free our Princess Pavilion Gardens and Band Stand Area. Cherilyn often hears from me so if anyone else would like to drop her an email, and please be polite, her email is below. I maybe annoying but I’m always politely so and for a just reason ;)

Hi All,
Good news!
The waves we’ve been making have spurred Council Gardner’s into action and the Gyllydune part of the Gardens have had half their grass areas cuts. Looks like they intend to finish and tidy up the flower beds. 🙂
But we have to keep the pressure on as I would like to see the Band Stand area with covered walkways and children’s play area opened up for us. Especially with news of potential local or national lockdowns as flu season approaches.
Have a good weekend,
Sean
