Petition to Request Funding to Improve East McEwen Drive

We, citizens of the State of Tennessee who regularly use E. McEwen Drive, hereby petition the Board of Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Franklin, Tennessee as follows:
• E. McEwen from the round-about to Wilson Pike continues to experience significant usage especially with ongoing commercial development in the Carothers Parkway area and residential development along Wilson Pike

• The road is traversed daily by more than 50 local school buses endangering the lives of our children

• Many oversized construction and landscaping vehicles travel narrow lanes that were not designed for such traffic

• Serious injuries and deaths have occurred as a result of the unsafe condition of the roadway
We, the undersigned, for the reasons stated above, hereby petition the BOMA to immediately approve funding to ensure that the McEwen Phase IV Project is number one on the Capital Improvement List and that funding is immediately made available for this project.
