Urge the UK Government Not to Raise the Cost of Legal Challenges Brought By Green Groups

Environmental groups could face huge increases in the cost of legal challenges to developments under reforms the UK government is contemplating, according to a report in The Guardian.

The proposal would expose green groups to higher financial liabilities if they lose their cases.

This could work to stop green groups and individuals from bringing actions, according to the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE).

The UK Government has denied the proposals are timed to help thwart actions against HS2 and expansions to Heathrow.

Opponents to developments should not be financially penalised. Will you join me in urging the UK Government to not raise the cost of legal challenges brought by Green Groups?
