A Fair and Impartial Trial for Peter Wlasiuk

  • by: Karen Torley
  • recipient: Governor Andrew Cuomo, Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, NY Senator Charles E. Schumer and NY Senator Kirsten Gillibrand

Peter Wlasiuk has sat for 12 years in Attica Prison in New York, for a crime the evidence proves he did not commit.

He has had THREE trials. Two of which have been overturned. He continues to appeal his third sentence, All he is asking is that he be retried in another county. All three trials have been held in the same court room in Chenango county.

Medical and Scientific evidence proves the man to be innocent!
A top forensic doctor named, Dr. Sikarica testified at two of Peter’s trials and each time he has said this is not a homicide and it was an accidental drowning, this coupled with other medical evidence.
Prosecutorial misconduct has been rife in this case and continued right up until and throughout the 3rd trial.

The only way for justice to be done and to be ensure it is done is to have a change of venue for a retrial.
All of the witnesses that testified struggled to answer certain questions because they say they could not remember certain things but this only occurs when the defense questioned them, however when prosecution questioned them their minds were as sharp as tacks.
Many of the jury members knew the family and worked with Patricia, who was Peter's wife.
There is proof all of this happened.
Peter has repeatedly put in motions to have a change of venue and take this case to a court away fromChenango county
Each time it was denied.

Peter Wlasiuk is not simply asking to be freed. He wants to prove his innocence in an impartial court, with all the evidence being heard in full for the first time properly.
What has happened in this case is terrible and should not be tolerated in anyway.

Thank you

Peter Wlasiuk deserves to have a trial in a new venue.

Please ensure that this happens, for the sake of truth, justice and integrity of the judicial system.

Thank you.
