Save The Whales!

Whale hunting has been around since circa 3000 B.C for meat, oil, and blubber. It wasnt until the mid 1700s the whaling industry bloomed and started importing whale goods from continent to continent. Today, whale hunting has turned into a competitive and lucrative business, allowing food industries profits to rise significantly. Blue whales, more commonly known as earths friendly giant, are nearing extinction along with Right whales, Beluga whales, and Orcas. Despite the millions of dollars spent to preserve the whale species and laws made to prevent hunting, illegal whaling is still happening. A full extinction of an animal class leads to a collapse in the food chain and economical chain leaving a drastic change in the ocean where we get most of our every day products. In efforts to save our whales, I made this petition to make more of our ocean protected by the government. Whaling will soon devestate our economical growth if we do not end it as soon as possible.
