Save the Alabama Red Bellied Turtle NOW!

Dear Mayor Stimpson-

We are second graders at Mary B. Austin. We have been researching the Alabama Red Bellied Turtle. This turtle is an endangered animal. We would like to help this species before they become extinct. This species lives near the bay in shallow waters. This turtle's unique feature is it's red belly!

We have an idea to help this endangered species. We would like to let people in our area know about the AL Red Bellied Turtle by having a day to recognize this turtle. Please help us protect this unique animal!
