Demand Marriage Equality in Northern Ireland!

Sally and Catherine have been together for 15 years. They have two sons. They want to get married, but they can't, because they live in Northern Ireland. "We want young LGBT people to grow up in a world where they don't feel like second class citizens and we want families like ours to have equal rights."

Malachai and Michael got "married" in Belfast, but in the eyes of the law it means nothing. "Michael and I would dearly love to get married for real, just as our siblings are able to do ... We know that most people in Northern Ireland want the law changed. Now we just need our politicians to stop getting in the way of us living our lives."

These are just two stories, but there are thousands of LGBT+ people across Northern Ireland currently unable to marry their loved one or knowing that when they grow up they won't be able to. It's time for same-sex partners to be given equal rights and equal respect. It's time for marriage equality in Northern Ireland.

Please sign this petition to demand that Northern Ireland embraces marriage equality.

The Northern Ireland Assembly:

It's time to extend equal rights to same-sex couples.

Thousands of LGB+ people are currently unable to enjoy the basic pleasure of getting married. They are locked out of equality, and the law tells them they are lesser.

It's time for marriage equality.
