Combating Gentrification with New Developers

The number of homeless people in Oakland is expanding rapidly and exponentially. But the number of new developers and building owners is also growing everyday. This petition is for the repurposing of decrepit and derelict buildings in Oakland for the the purpose of providing transitional housing/services for the homeless in Oakland. So whenever a new developer in the city wants to build a new apartment building, lofts, or condos, they will have to also fix one of the decrepit buildings already here for the purpose of helping those in need.
