Stop Feeding Live Animals To Lions For Children To Watch!

Can you imagine letting children watch a captive lion tear a goat to shreds? This is happening in Chinese zoos!

Add your name if you want to ban this cruel practice, NOW!

"The poor goat tried to run for its life, but it didn't stand a chance.

"The lions quickly surrounded it and started tearing at its flesh.

"Oohs and aahs filled the air as the children watched the goat being ripped limb from limb," reported The Daily Mail.

That's a routine day at Badaltearing Safari Park in China, which feeds live animals to its lions for the benefit of spectators, often including kids.

What could be more inhumane than that?

"Baying crowds now gather in zoos across the country to watch animals being torn to pieces by lions and tigers.

"Next to the main slaughter arena is a restaurant where families can dine on braised dog while watching cows and goats being disemboweled by lions," added the same source.

But it gets worse...

Visitors are encouraged to "fish for lions" using live chickens as bait.

"For just £2, giggling visitors tie terrified chickens onto bamboo rods and dangle them in front of the lions, just as a cat owner might tease their pet with a toy.

"During one visit, a woman managed to taunt the big cats with a petrified chicken for five minutes before a lion managed to grab the bird in its jaws.

"The crowd then applauded as the bird flapped its wings pathetically in a futile bid to escape. The lion eventually grew bored and crushed the terrified creature to death," per the same article.

There is no excuse for this kind of wicked entertainment.

You know that letting children witness this is like child abuse, right?

"The cruelty of Chinese zoos is disgusting, but think of the impact on the children watching it.

"What kind of future is there for China if its children think this kind of cruelty is normal?" said Carol McKenna of the OneVoice animal welfare group.

The right thing to do is simple: this vicious behavior must be banned.

Don't you want to stop this heartless practice of feeding live animals to captive lions and tigers, while children watch?

Then add your name to ask Luo Shugang, Chinese Minister of Culture and Tourism, to take action within his government to put an end to this outrageous cruelty once and for all!
