Maurice A. Ferré Park Security - We Want It Back!

This petition is to urge the Bayfront Park Management Trust to bring back the security that was removed from the Maurice A. Ferré Park and it is now unsafe!

1. In early 2019 the security that once took care of the park was removed. The Trust has more then enough funds to dedicate to security for the park.
2. Since the security was removed there have been multiple assaults on local residents, and their dogs, who frequent the park. There are some homeless people doing illegal activities which are a danger to the parks visitors and their pets.
3. The prior security did not allow any dogs to be off their leash to exercise or play with each other. About 70% of the overall daily visitors at the park are dog owners. If the security is brought back there needs to be a designated area for dogs. Even Margaret Pace Park has a designated area for dogs and Maurice A. Ferré Park is a much larger park with more daily traffic.
4. Without security the events that take place in the park are unregulated. People are driving large vehicles over the entire length of the park and destroying the grass leaving behind mud trenches that are an eye sore and a mess.

Please sign this petition if you believe the statements mentioned above are valid, needed, and would vastly improve Maurice A. Ferré Park.

"Maurice A. Ferré Park (formerly Museum Park) is a 30-acre public, urban park in downtown Miami, Florida. The park is bordered on the south by the American Airlines Arena and Bayside Marketplace, and on the north by the Perez Art Museum Miami and the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, scheduled to open in late 2015.

The Park features a waterfront baywalk and promenade from Biscayne Boulevard to Biscayne Bay that provides pedestrian access to the museums." (Miamiandbeaches.com)
