FIGHT FOR 2SIM RIGHT [DIASPORA] THE RIGHT TO VOTE AND TO BE VOTED FOR.

We are Sierra Leoneans living abroad and have been discriminated against. Section 76.1 in the constitution of Sierra Leone Act #6 of 1991 denied Diaspora the right to vote and to be voted for.

Through out these years, the Sierra Leone diaspora had in the past and is presently playing a great and tremendous role in the country.
. We have served within the capacity of the executive, legislative and the judiciary
. Raised funds during campaign and elections
.The Ebola
. The mudslide
. The war
. Floods

Infact statistics has also been proven that the African diaspora contributes about 700 million dollar's every year in their country and is one of the most important in the world terms of numbers according to the African union.

We want the government of Sierra Leone i.e the Executive, legislative and the judiciary to " repeal" section 76.1 of the Sierra Leone constitution Act #6 of 1991 and refer to the 2006 Sierra Leone dual Citizenship Act, see reasons and be convinced in giving diaspora the opportunity " the right to vote in their country of residence and to be voted for in Sierra Leone".
