Hold Zoo Owner Accountable For Abusing Tiger If Found Guilty

A recent video went viral that showed an animal training alleged abusing a tiger he was working with by striking it over and over again.  Animal activists and protestors have been adamant about getting this alleged abuser relieved of his position as the owner and animal trainer at the Bowmanville Zoo in Canada.  Read the story http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/animal-cruelty-protesters-bowmanville-zoo-1.3382097  to get more information on these allegations.

The video that went viral shows an animal trainer that appears to be hitting a young tiger that was supposedly not complying with what was expected.  A volunteer at the zoo took he video recording and PETA, a U. S. based animal rights group is now working with SPCA to get the full details of what supposedly occurred.  The man involved in the alleged incident disputes the findings by PETA and the video recording footage.

The hope is for a full investigation into the allegations of animal abuse, supported by the video recording to determine if this man is indeed guilty of the possible charges.  If he is found guilty of all supposed cruelty charges, he needs to be held accountable with felony charges along with being removed from his current position.  Such as person should also be banned from working with or near any other animals for the rest of his life.

Our efforts in this petition is to get to the truth through this thorough investigation and subsequent accountability to ensure this person would never ham another animal, if and when he is found guilty.  You can help with this issue by signing and sharing this petition.  As stated in the article, if the animals at this zoo are in an unhealthy situation, maybe they would be better in a safe, healthy sanctuary.  We need to be a voice for this animals and ensure that this trainer/owner is held accountable if proven wrong in this matter.

Canadian Governor Gen. David Johnston – We strongly urge you to do a full investigation into the allegations of animal abuse, supported by the video recording to determine if this man is indeed guilty of the possible charges.  If he is found guilty of all supposed cruelty charges, he needs to be held accountable with felony charges along with being removed from his current position.  Such as person should also be banned from working with or near any other animals for the rest of his life.
