Tell Trump: don’t deport 4-year-old girl who will die without US healthcare!

A 4-year-old Mexican girl who suffers from short bowel syndrome — meaning her body can't process nutrients by herself — is suddenly in danger of being deported after the Trump administration withdrew the humanitarian parole extended to her by the Biden administration.

"Doctors have been clear that she will die within days," without the care she is currently receiving, said the family's lawyer at a press conference in Los Angeles. "Deporting this family under these conditions is not only unlawful, it constitutes a moral failure that violates the basic tenets of humanity and decency. This is a classic example where deportation would equal death for this child. It is a very desperate situation."

Tell Trump: don't deport 4-year-old girl who will die without US healthcare!

The young girl, identified only by her initials S.G.V. for her protection, receives all the nutrients she needs intravenously through a treatment known as Total Parenteral Nutrition, or TPN. In Mexico, she spent her life bound to a hospital bed before the Biden team gave her family humanitarian parole.

Thanks to treatment that can only be found in America, this little girl can go to school, go to the store, enjoy a walk in the park, enjoy life as a child should be able to. But the company that creates the specialized backpack she wears to deliver intravenous nutrition "not allow the equipment to travel outside the United States." Without it, she would die.

We must make our voices heard and demand this poor girl and her family be allowed to remain in America. It is literally life and death.
