Freedom to future Graduates decorating the cape to their gowns!

Hello! My name I Raven Breanna Hyman and I am writing a petition for decorating graduation gown caps. I attend SHS and am currently a Sophomore going on to Junior year. Graduation is an exciting time for students and parents. It is a time of celebration to look back and reflect on all their hard work and achievements. In high school, you experience a lot. From a change in crowd, ending friendships, break ups and losses.. High school is a bittersweet experience. Mental health should be an important factor in society, before anything else. It seems that decorating your cap from not only expressing yourselves but decorating your deceased one on it, is less important than outdated traditions and values. Some people may argue "well, tradition is important" "Decorating your caps and gowns makes it look less classy and unorganized"
Yes, While those are good points I still think people should be able to express themselves freely, especially since this is a new generation. The school system has been outdated for over a century, while everything around is like..
Technology
Lifestyles
Cars
Houses
Food
Human rights
And more has changed. The school system has A LOT to work on, but I want to start slowly with this Petition. People were asked to change their caps and gowns. Multiple students had decorated their caps and gowns with harmless, beautiful decorations, while other students have even put their deceased and loved ones that have passed onto their cap gown and were asked to apologize because they were breaking "tradition".
The fact that a student was asked to APOLOGIZE because they put their LOVED ONE on a cap , to show honor, love and DEVOTION is ridiculous, unsentimental, cruel, degrading, and most of all uncharitable.
Not only does this affect the student but this ALSO affects the parents believe it or not. What parent wouldn't be upset to hear that their child was seized the opportunity to express themselves, one last time for graduation. Parents want nothing but success and happiness of their children. Sensitive topics like this shouldn't even have to occur. The staff, and most of all, the Board Of Education should have some sympathy for these students and parents. It's their one last time of expressing themselves and showing honor to themselves, or whoever, to accomplishing this and they still want to be in control? The staff already graduated. They're not the ones wearing a cap and gown, they're not the ones who want to show their devotion through either expressing themselves, or a loss of a loved one. They're not the ones who recently just went through A LOT to graduate, mentally too. They're not the ones walking down the stage, being confident in their cap, and They're not the ones who are keeping this for the rest of their life. Amendment one exists for a reason, to make change, to hear people out who want to express themselves and that is why I am starting this journey.
