Say No To Special Education Budget Cuts

Children in special Ed programs are not granted equal education which violates the ninth amendment in the Bill of Rights. This amendment states "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people." (U.S. Constitution). The people of the United States adopted the right to an equal education and taking money away from public schools not only violates this amendment but it also puts the future economy at risk. Student with disabilities are being affected by these budget cuts around the country. The council for Exceptional Children did a survey with teachers who work with children in the special education program and all the teachers said "Budget cuts are impacting and further threatening services for students with disabilities" (Council for Exceptional Children). These students are being denied the right under the ninth amendment to a fair education. As an American citizen, seeing that the education system is discriminating the special Ed program and all students rights to a well rounded equal education. Access to a equal well rounded education is protected in the Bill of Rights and is important for all students.
