Stop the rezoning of Grapevine Z17-09 & PD17-04

J. Rose Architecture is requesting approval from neighbors, Grapevine City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission to turn single family lots into multifamily for the purpose of building 10 townhomes. The plot of land under consideration is 1 acre located at 1300 N. Dooley, at the intersection of Bushong, across from Silverlake Elementary.

This zoning change would set an unwelcomed precedent, opening the door for future single family locations to be adapted to multifamily. The addition of this housing complex would also greatly increase traffic within an already very busy school zone, causing increased risk for our neighborhood children. The addition of multifamily homes could also have a negative impact on home values and the wildlife in our community. There are currently no residential driveways along Dooley or Bushong in this area.

Grapevine City Council has the authority to approve this zoning change, even if the neighboring property owners protest. It is imperative for our neighborhood to stand together and inform City Council that we do not welcome such zoning changes. There will be a hearing on 12/19/17 at 7:30pm at 200 South Main Street in Grapevine if you would like to attend.

Even if you plan to attend, please sign this petition to let the Grapevine City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission know we prefer to keep our neighborhood zoned as it is, single family homes. Do not let them start with this plot of land, as we can not be sure what may come next.
