Stop Drugging and Racing Greyhounds

Greyhound racing has a drug problem! Innocent dogs are being shot up with cocaine, steroids and other drugs in a sickening effort to make them race even faster, and to line the pockets of greedy kennel operators.

This is a true crisis for thousands of dogs!

We all know that greyhound racing is cruel and inhumane, but now state records reveal 847 drug positives over the past decade, including 71 greyhound cocaine positives. Class 1 positives – the most serious – spiked in 2017. Drug paraphernalia, including syringes and injectable vials, are frequently found in racing kennels. But instead of cleaning up their act, disreputable kennel operators insist that they have done nothing wrong.

Get all the facts now in our new report, No Confidence: Drugs in the American Greyhound Racing Industry.

It is time for this terrible "sport" to end once and for all. It is well known that racing dogs break their legs and sometimes die on the track. When not racing, they are kept confined in small cages for long hours each day and fed a diet based on raw diseased meat. If that weren't bad enough, now we know that drug use is rampant in this terrible industry.

Dog racing is already illegal in forty other states and it is time for it to end everywhere. Please sign our petition to the governors of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Texas and West Virginia demanding they end dog racing now!

I am writing to ask you to help save dogs by taking a stand against the criminal corruption of racing. According to state records, gentle greyhounds are testing positive for drugs, even cocaine, at racetracks all across the county.

Drug paraphernalia, including syringes and injectable vials, are frequently found in racing kennels. But instead of cleaning up their act, disreputable kennel operators and greyhound owners have simply been engaging lawyers to dismantle state rules against drugging dogs!
