"Officers euthanized a bear in Havre de Grace Saturday after police said the animal visited a high-traffic area in the city. Authorities got involved after someone reported the creature was in the yard. Police later killed the bear near the Promenade, officials said.
""Officers eventually found the bear in the area of the promenade and had to euthanize the bear due to the high potential for a physical encounter with humans," the Havre de Grace Police Department said in a statement," according to Patch.com.
Don't you think bears like this should be humanely relocated to a safe area, instead of being killed?
There's no excuse for slaughtering a wild bear just because it wandered into someone's yard.
