Lipo B-12 injections consist of three amino acids (methionine, inositol, choline) and Vitamin B12. Lipo B-12 injections are used to help release fat throughout the body by specifically targeting its primary fatty deposits.

I have been researching these amino acids and how they work in the body.  Allow me to break it down for you.

Inositol helps the liver remove fat. It is a B-vitamin that promotes the health of cell structures and nerve synapses, as well as aids in the metabolism of fats. It helps reduce blood cholesterol, and participates in the action of serotonin, a neurotransmitter known to control mood and appetite.

Choline distributes cholesterol and prevents it from getting deposited in one part of the body. It is an essential nutrient that helps to support the liver in its processing and excretion of chemical waste products. Moreover, it is required for the transport and metabolism of fats and cholesterol, which is important for the healthy support of the endocrine, cardiovascular, and hepatic systems.

Methionine is an amino acid not produced in the human body naturally. However, it does break down fat within the liver, which helps lower the cholesterol level in the body since it gets rid of the excess fat buildup in the liver and around the body's circulatory system. It also helps prevent and relieve fatigue. According to researchers, by injecting methionine into your muscles you can rapidly achieve high concentrations which many researchers and physicians believe results in more effective mobilization and elimination of abnormal fatty deposits. Other reported benefits of methionine include improvement of: liver disease; skin tone and elasticity; nails; hair; and cardiovascular and muscular functions, through its role in the production of creatine.

Vitamin B-12 helps speed up metabolic processes and gives the body energy. It boosts energy and overall metabolic rate, assists in the burning of stored body fat, as well as detoxifies the body, increases red blood cell production, and maintains a healthy liver. In June, the Mississippi Medical Board placed a temporary hold on weight loss clinics administering the injections. After doing research of my own, I found that the FDA has not approved these injections for weight loss, and since we are a weight loss clinic, they are no longer allowing us to give these injections for weight loss. However, when explaining the injections and their benefits to our patients, we emphasize that one may not see results on the scale, but will be able to tell a difference in their clothes because of the inches lost when using the injections. I believe that we have plenty of patients who will vouch for this from personal experience (I know, I can), so we are asking for each person to simply sign this petition so that we can get it to the Mississippi Medical Board and prove our case-that these injections have benefitted us tremendously, and we need them back in our clinic as quickly as possible!
