Horses are exported to Mexico and Canada legally by kill buyers. They buy the horses at auction and then Mexico and Canada will pay them so they can use them for horse meat. They are loaded into cattle cars and jam packed so they can barely move. Some fall down and are trampled. They go for days without water or food. Then in Mexico they are killed with knives and sometimes dismembered while they still conscious. This is the most disgusting inhumane treatment of these animals. Some are very young horses, many are thoroughbreds off the track. Give your support to the SAFE Act before congress. Call your Senators to vote to pass this act that will stop the export of horses to other countries.
