We welcome Pike Plaza and hoped they would benefit the community. Sadly, they have created major issues within the community.
1) They have trashed the neighborhood. With overflowing garbage, and unhealthy scent. In violation of (§10-14. Duty of Either the Property Owner, Occupant or Both to Properly Maintain Property. It shall be the joint and several duty of the property owner and the occupant of each parcel of property in the County to keep such property free from all trash, garbage, refuse, litter debris, or other substances which might endanger the health or safety of other residents of the County. (2-21-81; 4-24-82)
2) They wash out trash canisters into storm drains behind the MegaMart. (In accordance with Arlington County Code Chapter 26-5, absolutely nothing should be put in, or dumped into, a storm drain.) Polluting our
3) They have caused traffic issues, impacting the safety of drivers and pedestrians.
As residents, homeowners and members of the community we ask the Arlington County Government, and property owners to help clean up this property. Make Pike Plaza a member of the community not an eyesore, safety issue or health concern.
