Archie Sonic comic writer, Ian Flynn, earlier annoced that romantic moments between Sonic and Sally (a.k.a. Sonally) would no longer occur during the series, due to constant shipping wars between fans.
They are already many shipping wars on many other Sonic character pairings, many of them just fan made. Not only will removing Sonally moments from the series not hault the shipping wars, but will also put shame and disappointment on the many Sonally fans.
Sonally fans who were into the comic back in issue #134 during a breakup, would've had to wait a six-and-a-half years before the pair were finally brought back together. And another eighteen months when Sally got turned into a robot, fans would've had to wait over another two years before she and Sonic were finally reunited, only for there to be no more romantic moments going on between them that about thousands of fans had been desperately waiting for.
Ever since the start of the comic series (along with the Sonic cartoon series it's based upon) over 20 years ago, Sonally has been like a tradition and a main event of the series. Archie and the comic's writers must know that we do not want that ever removed!!
