End the use of crossbows in Pennsylvania's Archery Season
The use of crossbows in the Pennsylvania archery season has dramatically changed the season for the worse. The season used to be low pressure allowing skilled outdoorsman to get close to their quarry. It is now almost as high pressure as the states rifle season due to the use of modern crossbows that have capabilities more akin to slug shotguns than traditional longbows and compounds such as range and ease of use. The scope and point and shoot nature of the crossbow allows an unfair advantage over hunters who stick with the traditional stick and string weapons and crowd the woods. The only use for crossbows should be for seniors and disabled persons.
