Today, tomorrow, every week day and weekend, a child will be assigned homework. Some ranging from a simple task to hour long tasks. Studies have shown countless times of how school days are already too long. To the point where it's pointless because the information can't be rendered in the brain. Yet students are still forced to complete workloads at night, studies have also shown that combined with homework students work more hours than that of truck drivers, lawyers, etc. This leads to kids being antisocial and even depression. With school days so long there's more than enough time for review. Even the school day being shortened, which would include better harvesting of information, would still have enough time for review. Countless studies have also showed that homework showed little to no effect on test grades, in highschool. Do we really need to put our children in a place where they work more than adults? What's the humanity in that? This is not some child just angry about homework. I'm a providing being in society, but I've seen how stressed kids are. I've seen children cry over their workloads, and even been pushed to the point where they just give up on school completely. Children aren't superheros, we don't have everlasting endurance. Why treat us like we do? Why push children to the level where they just don't want to have anything to do with school anymore? Why take away a child's childhood?
