We are a small family business with a passion for our community and our craft. Our farm brewery is intended to bring neighbors and visitors of the Chatt Hills area together in a rural setting to enjoy all that our city has to offer. The City of Chattahoochee Hills has recently created a craft brewery ordinance which would allow for our business to operate within the city limits. Over the last six months, we have complied with each provision in this new ordinance, yet we have received a great deal of pushback from council and a few activated members of the community on our proposal.
The notion that our brewery is an industrial use and will resemble a bar is simply divorced from reality. Our model of a farm brewery includes a 1 acre hop yard, goats and a small 1,900 square foot facility which will produce under 1,000bbl / year, well within the limits of the ordinance. The intention of this venue is to provide a public meeting place for patrons to get to know one another and spend quality time with their families. We have recently withdrawn our application from the docket in May, as the local church has been petitioning hard against us and we did not have the votes we need to pass. We are making one final effort to push our application forward and need as much support as possible leading up to the next vote in July, 2019. This vote will determine whether or not our business will be viable in the Chattahoochee Hills community, so we are asking you to sign this petition as a show of support for our farm brewery, as it may be the only chance we have to demonstrate a positive consensus to council.
