The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has a category for Performers. In the year of 2018, it will mark the 25th anniversary of Mick Ronson's (Ronno) passing at the age of 46 after his fight with Liver Cancer.

During his life he went from being a Gardner at the Queens Garden in Kingston to becoming one of the Worlds greatest Lead Guitarist standing upfront and on center Stage with David Bowie during the Ziggy Stardust period (1970-1973). Due to poor and greedy management, Mick Ronson did not receive credit or substantial pay or royalties for his work with David Bowie In the 1970's. Mick Ronson wrote all the music compositions on Bowie's first 5 Successful Albums: The Man Who Sold the World, Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, Aladdin Sane and the album Pin Ups. Notably, Mick Ronson and David Bowie shared a professional and personal relationship throughout their living years and also fell ill to Liver Cancer, which took both of their lives.

After his work with David Bowie in Ziggy Stardust and the Spider's from Mars, Mick Ronson returned to Hull England and created his own Band named, "Ronno." Mick Ronson went on to perform as a solo artist, releasing 3 albums starting with "Slaughter on 10th Avenue," "Play Don't Worry" and lastly, "Heaven and Hull."

Ronson worked Musical Arrangements for Lou Reed's best selling Album, "Transformer" along with co-producing with David Bowie. Ronson toured with Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue, which Bob Dylan put together with the cream of the crop musicians, such as, Roger McQuirre. Besides working with the legendary Bob Dylan, Mick Ronson produced Ian Hunters first 2 solo albums, Morrissey's album, "Your Arsenal," Ronson co-wrote Jack and Diane (lyrics and music arrangement) with John Mellencamp, He produced and performed multi-instrumentals on Roger McGuirres Album,"Cardiff Rose," Ronson produced a new talented yet controversial artist, Lisa Dalbello in the early 1990's and The Sweden Punk Rock Group, Leather Nuns to name just a few of the Who's Who of Rock musicians of the 1970's and up until his passing in 1993.

His last album "Heaven and Hull" required the help of artist and friends, such as, Joe Elliott, Ian Hunter and Chrissie Hines of the Pretender's to finish the album released the year after his death on April 29, 1993.

Music to Mick Ronson was more important than money; he was a humble man from Hull England and didn't care to learn the legalities of Music Contracts or Royalties. Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson contributed all profits from a concert held in Cleveland OH, to raise $25,000 of the $40,000 needed to build the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. However, as of this date, neither Ian Hunter nor Mick Ronson have been honored with induction into the Hall.

The Mick Ronson Induction Group, shares an appreciation for the contributions made from Mick Ronson, to the Rock Industry and music of most all genres. He was a classically trained multi-instrumentalist who composed Classical scores, Rock scores and even lived in TN for a period, whereby, he arranged music in the field of Country Music.

This Petition and our group has the singular goal to collect enough signatures to provide to the Rock and Roll Committee, so that Mick Ronson's name will appear on the Class of 2019, voter ballots.

Please provide the Ronson Family, with the honor and acknowledgement of their loved one, Mick Ronson's, great works and contribution to the Rock Industry.

We also want to leave the gift of Mick Ronson's music within the Hall for future generations to learn the magnificent talent and a love for music he created.

We thank you all from the bottom of our heart's, The MickRonsonInduction Group
