Ask Megyn Kelly to Apologize for Insensitive Remark to Gay "Will & Grace" Fan

Kelly, 46, debuted her morning show Megyn Kelly Today recently by promoting the return of Will & Grace, an acclaimed NBC comedy show.

But then things got cringey. Kelly invited a fan, Russell Turner, on stage to meet Debra Messing and the rest of the show's stars.

“Is it true that you became a lawyer — and you became gay — because of Will?” Kelly asked.

Later, she said: “I don’t know about the lawyer thing, but I think the Will & Grace thing and the gay thing is going to work out great!"

Turner took the comment in stride, but many people have expressed their disappointment on social media - including Debra Messing herself, who said to a fan on Instagram: “Honestly I didn’t know it was MK until that morning. The itinerary just said Today Show appearance. Regret going on. Dismayed by her comments.”
