Membership of the SGI in the north of the UK has been growing for many years.
Currently members living in Scotland, Northern Ireland, the North of England and North Wales have to travel for many hours to attend Taplow Court or London to undertake the valuable activities of Dedicated Lilac, Soka, Keibi and Seven Seas.
The Generation Hope events on the 17/3/2018 have demonstrated the faith and enthusiasm of northern members and their seeking spirit to share this amazing buddhist philosophy with even more people.
We believe that the formation of a Northern UK SGI Centre would provide a rooted focal point for Kosen Rufu in the north, and would enable more members to undertake training activities.
Moreover, we want to further Kosen Rufu through the Shakabuku opportunities a centre would create.
We the undersigned respectfully request that the national leadership of SGI-UK engage in further dialogue and take action to establish a Northern UK SGI Centre, and to keep the members in the north of the UK informed of the progress so that we can wholeheartedly support the endeavour.
This petition has been circulated to members of the SGI only, in conjunction with heart to heart dialogue and daimoku spanning over 30 years.
