Illinois has a flawed system!

A year and 3 months ago a buddy and I got arrested for driving under the influence. Myself from Illinois. My buddy from Kentucky. He got a slap on the wrist. I on the other hand got the hammer dropped on me. First offense is one yr revoked license. Which is understandable. But here is where the system is flawed. First my offense was out of state so it took Illinois a while other month to charge me. Secondly. When they say its a year without license. Thts a lie. You do your yr plus more. You do a yr bc its mandatory. But what they don't tell you is is you have to wait 30-90 days after your year. All so tht way Springfield can approve or deny you. A yr n a half. When the sentence is a yr. Thirdly. The hearing officer. Pretty much a middle man. In my case(She) told me she had NOTHING to do with me getting my license back. I seen this officer twice. Jus so tht way she could look @ my paper work n tell me i had to wait 30-90 days.
My solution?
Take out the middle man(the hearing officer). Deal with Springfield straight on. Over the phone or even online. Their should be a website where u can track ur progress.
The 30-90 day wait needs to go. 30 -90 days before your yr is up is when you should start the process of getting your license back. If Springfield feels you should do your whole yr. Then you wait the full 90 days. I understand the punishment but their system is flawed. Shouldn't have to suffer a lifetime for one mistake.
