Please help us get our baby home!

Sunday, February 25th at 5:30 am my step dad had the dogs out on the porch to take them to the bathroom, it was still dark and the dogs both heard a nice and must have seen a shadow because they took off (although they should have been on restraints of course and were not) and took the neighbor down. She wasn't attacked for no reason, they were being protective as dogs do. She has a nip from the clash but has no stitches, no broken bones and is back to her normal scheduled routine today after the incident yesterday, yet there still are charges being filed on the "vicious attack" and we are not being contacted by any authorities and the shelter refuses to give any information on how our dog is doing, how is he behaving, etc. Oso is a beloved family member and yes has had issues before but nothing severe. He is a rescue dog that has had a horrible past but such a loving protectant to us. How is it that a person can KILL another person and they get sent to a place with free living arrangements, free food thanks to our tax payers contributions but an animals steps out of line, in defense of their family, because let's be honest, this is what a dogs sole purpose is, to protect what is theirs, and they are automatically deemed a "dangerous animal" and needs to be put down! Tell Fayette County to release Oso back home with restrictions, his family knows he is such a good dog and we are all so very heartbroken about the whole situation.
    Update #16 years ago
Just got told that since the dog is not up to date on his vaccines he will be euthanized tomorrow and be tested for rabies. I asked why there is no court date and was told that the dog was signed over which isn't true! Ive contacted an animal advocate attorney and waiting for a reply. Yall they gone kill my dog and tell me I have no chance of getting him back! Fayette county is so wrong for this!
