Subject: Replacement of the Robley Rex VA Medical Center, Louisville, KY

Dear Ms. Williams:

We come to you as veterans, veteran dependents and private citizens primarily from the community of Hardin County, Kentucky with a veteran population of 16,000. We lend our voice in support of the selection of the Millpond Business Center property as the preferred site for the Replacement Robley Rex VAMC.

Hardin County is a community of many people with a relationship to the military and who either are themselves, a member of their family, or have a close associate who are entitled to care within the VA medical system. They are aware of the many stories concerning the difficulty in obtaining and maintaining adequate and convenient medical care from the VA. I hear from them constantly about the difficulty in travelling into the Louisville Metropolitan area due to the traffic volume, congestion and difficulty navigating through the city in order to get to the VA. Having the replacement Robley Rex VAMC located in Millpond Business Center, rather than Louisville, would be a huge benefit for not only these veterans but also those who must travel to use the facility. Millpond Business Center’s location offers easy accessibility to major travel networks eliminating the congestion of the Metro area.

From a taxpayer’s point of view the offer of 50 acres of build ready land makes Millpond Business Center an even more attractive location.

I urge your activation team seriously consider the benefits to the veterans that the Millpond Business Center site offers.

Thank you for your consideration,
