Boycott United! Puppy left to die in overhead compartment

A flight attendant from United airlines insisted that a family put their puppy in the overhead storage compartment which eventually led to it's death.  The 10 month old puppy was left up there for three hours with no air ventilation. When the flight landed the owner tried to revive  the puppy, but it was too late.  Other passengers on the flight have gone to social media describing this is as the most horrific and heartbreaking thing that they have ever seen.

Update #16 years ago
According to a recent report issued by the Department of Transportation, last year there were 24 recorded incidents of an animal dying while being transported by a major U.S. air carrier. Of those 24 incidents, 18 took place on United Airlines. These statistics are heartbreaking and shame on the department of transportation
