I Choose Kamaile High School

Kamaile Academy is a PreK - 12 Hawaiian focused-arts integrated public charter school.  The secondary program provides a small and safe setting for students K-12. However, due to budget challenges, the high school is in danger of closing as early as next year.  We are told that the decision is months away, but the recommendation for that decision will be made in weeks.

To save the high school, and the future of our students, we need our ohana to join with the students, parents, and teachers fighting to keep the high school open. Your signature right NOW is a crucial part in giving these students a voice for choice. This petition will be presented to those making the critical decision and time is running out. Our keiki in Wai'anae deserve to have the best options for their education. Together we can make a huge statement that we are WESTSIDE STRONG.

There is so much more we could say about the High School at Kamaile.  Many of our students have attended the school since Kindergarten and have looked forward to graduating.  The school program is unique, and we are proud that our students are learning about their culture as well as being prepared for college and careers.  Many of the high school students are engaged in this effort to bring awareness to the community about why they need Kamaile High School program.  Please join them by signing and sharing this petition TODAY.
