DONT STOP A TRADITION!! ALLOW US TO GRADUATE IN THE ORIGINAL CAPS AND GOWNS

Here at Western Wayne they are trying to stop the graduating class of 2019 and future graduates from graduating in the original black and gold cap and gowns.
I am a student here at Western Wayne High School and I am a part of the graduating class of 2019 and I will be the one to step up and say something about this. As a student, I have been waiting for senior year and graduation and I can't help but feel sad, yet excited for this time of year. But now they want to try to have us graduate in a "Gender Neutral" gown that everyone must wear. They had tried to do this to the class of 2018 and they allowed them to graduate in the original cap and gowns so what's the big deal about letting the class of 2019 and future classes wear the original cap and gowns?
They saw how many people were angry and upset about it and they fought for keeping the tradition alive! Do they not think we won't fight for it again?! The original cap and gowns have been around since the school opened up in the 70's. It's a tradition. Why are they trying to end it? I don't know about the rest of my class but I'm upset about this and I hope that others will step up and say something about it as well and fight for it to not be changed. Thank you.
